hi guys i have just bought a second hand aqua medic anthias 160, around 750 litres i think however i bought its with a 5x2x2 custom sump, it has never been used for saltwater the guy i bought it off only kept a giant mabu puffer in it and hasn't used the wet-dry trickle filter or protein skimmer! i was wondering what type of system i should have and suggestions for what fish i should put in there i was thinking of a butterfly tank with small reef fish i cant think of anything else so any suggestions would be help full.

I was wondering whether its possible to do a custom made LED light since if u buy from the shop the real deal its around rm2500 for LED lighting 2ft.
My aquarium measures 2x1x1ft
Is it a must to use Luxeon types of LED ...which is 3W?
Or can I put the 5mm LED at 0.2W with many instead to compensate for intensity?
Any guide or tips on how i should make it ? E.g. numbers of LED, minimum LED rating..

I'd like a kit-like saltwater tank to start with two clownfish and an anemone, and have been looking at several different ones online.
The reason I'd like the kit is due to the need for many different components in the saltwater tank (because I'm new to this aquarium setup from freshwater) and would like to buy the whole setup (minus a few parts, which if necessary, is fine & expected...I just have no desire to start with a big glass rectangle from petco & build it all myself right now) so that it's functional and aesthetically pleasing.
My goal is 25+ gallons
HC glass (the super-clear glass)
I love the aquascapes I've seen and would like a bit of wiggle room with less fish and more rock/live plants

-WHICH TANK?
Which is the best tank like the HC Ecocube, or something like it (i.e a shopping list of parts with the best place to order a stock/custom HC glass rimless 30+ gallon tank made with the beautiful HC glass), Nano cube, or if there's a Marineland-compatible tank make of the same glass? My local pet store owner (non-chain) owner has offered to order me a nano cube at (close to cost)...should I take up that offer...what price to expect at "clost to at cost"?

I realize bigger is better, safer, and cheaper with saltwater tanks; however, I have to make this work with my partner, who I fear, may kill me if it is over 50 gallons ;o) Hence, the small footprint of the cube-shaped aquariums are ideal! The mini-environment has to work within my environment too :o)

I'm planning to build a house sometime this year and I would certainly love to see an in-wall saltwater fish only aquarium with the following measurements=72x18x20(in inches), i know it's expensive and tedious but I'm willing to learn but I'm not that willing to spend that much. I've already checked on a lot of websites and it would cost around USD2000-3000 dollars for a complete setup minus the shipping. So i would really like to find a similar store/shop here in Manila offering custom built aquariums or if they would really be too expensive- i would like stores selling all stuffs I'm looking for so that i could buy those equipments from them. Since I will incorporate it in the wall while I'm building the house I guess my architect and engineers could help me in install it.

I am experienced with fish, and would like to estimate the cost of either a 50-60 gallon saltwater tank, or a 75 gallon freshwater tank. Looking more towards the saltwater.
I want it to have a reef, with all necessary, and nice looking corals, along with a bunch of fish, such as clowns, tangs, and butterfly fish. For the tank, and equipment, consider kits that come with filters, etc, not a custom one that costs $1000. I don't think they come with protein skimmers, so include that. Pretty much include everything I would need to buy, into the price.
As for freshwater, I would want to keep a large variety of community fish.
Please try your hardest to give me the most accurate prices, and everything I would need, including the price of fish.

Oh, and as for a tank, I am looking for a long rectangle, or long bow front. Not a high tank, and not one that is like hex.
